Are there any fees?

No, we have plans to introduce more selling features soon, and there won't be any buyer fees. Sellers will always have the choice to list items for free on the app.

How do I pay?

In-app purchases will be available by November 2023. Buyers can coordinate with the seller to make payments through CashApp, cash, debit/credit cards, EBT (where applicable), or through bartering. All transactions are conducted off the app.

Can I legally sell _______ (raw milk, unwashed eggs, etc.)?

The creator of the listing (seller) is accountable for understanding and adhering to the relevant laws governing the production, sale, and distribution of goods and services. Sources for identifying local laws include the USDA, the local agricultural extension office, and your state Department of Agriculture.

What items are prohibited on Farmr?

Items prohibited include but are not limited to :
  • Any product that violates local, state, or federal law in its production, sale, or transport
  • Marijuana or its derivatives are not allowed in any form
  • Food items not grown or produced on location (purchased from a store, imported, etc)
  • Vehicles or items that require a title or license to operate
  • Products that are misrepresented in their production or origin
  • Products not applicable to the categories and subcategories.

How do I buy items listed on Farmr?

Just like Kijiji or Craigslist! Users have the option to message the seller directly from the listing screen to coordinate a meetup or establish a pickup/dropoff point. It's important to note that meetups with Farmr users carry similar risks to those encountered on other marketplace connections. We strongly recommend employing safety precautions and staying vigilant against potential scams.

What food items can I sell?

The seller is permitted to offer fresh, raw, uncut, and unprocessed food products, including meat, dairy, honey, maple syrup, and eggs, in accordance with both local and federal regulations.

What non-food items can I sell?

Products falling under categories such as farm/garden supplies, plants/trees in compliance with state law, poultry and small farm animals, as well as non-vehicle farm/garden equipment.
